Hey everybody! My name is Duke! I’m still looking for my forever home so I thought I’d tell you a bit about myself. My previous family had me since I was 8 weeks old and boy did I love them. They taught me all kinds of great things like sit, shake and speak and how to go in my kennel when they weren’t around. But, ya know, life happens sometimes so I ended up here in Nebraska! When I first arrived, my foster Mom couldn’t believe how small and fit I was! I was a little sad and confused at first but when my foster sister started playing with me, I shook it off and now, I’m looking forward to hopefully having my own real life sister or brother someday. I sure do love being outside and taking naps, don’t you??! I would love to find a nice fenced in backyard to hangout in. I promise I won’t dig or tear stuff up but if I happen to find a way out, I can’t help myself but to run out, so my new family will have to be careful with that. My first owners also taught me to behave around kids and other dogs, but not so much with those small furry things… I think they’re called cats? Yeah, cats. I have some theories about those things but we can talk about that later. My ideal day would include waking up to some tasty breakfast and maybe going for a walk or hike. Then take a nice long nap on my doggie bed. Finish it off with some time outside to explore or just to lay in the sun and then another nap. Man, doesn’t that sound great? I would be happy with just about any human. My foster Mom says I’m a very low-maintenance pup and would be content with a few walks a week or some playtime with another dog. When I’m really happy I’ll go find your sock or shoe and carry it around just for a laugh! She doesn’t even put me in my kennel anymore because I’m so good when she leaves. But I still practice my kennel skills just in case that’s what you want. So, what do you think?? I’d love to call your home my own so let’s do it! Talk to you soon, love, Duke.
