Look at this sweet boy with the toothy grin! Meet Toseph, “Toe” for short, because he has one white toe. Toe needs a companion who enjoys fetch as much as he does. He will chase anything you throw, but prefers to chew up sticks and some non-tough toys.  Toe is a young, very trainable guy, about 16 months old. He weighs 68 pounds, is neutered, and up-to-date on shots. He’s a happy and very entertaining dog who loves to play! Toe is working on important life skills and has learned to calm down and enjoy some petting and to walk on a leash without pulling. Since he’s basically a puppy, he needs someone who’s willing to work with him on these skills, and to help him develop confidence. He knows the “Sit and Lay down” commands and is crate trained and house-trained. Toe is nervous about meeting new people, and can be startled by things he’s never experienced before. But, When you meet Toe, just bring a ball and he’ll warm up in minutes! Toe is fine with most other dogs, but hasn’t been around cats. Because Toe is a big guy who’s still learning social skills, we recommend a home with no children, or older, dog-savvy children. He is not prone to jumping on people, but gets a bit overenthusiastic when playing with his toys and would likely be scared by children who might yell. Toe is looking for a foster OR an adopter. Are you the person to help Toe build his confidence and become an awesome companion?
