Butters

Meet Butters!  Butters turns 4 years old in December and we'd like to help him find his forever home before the holidays. BUT, before everyone jumps at the chance, here’s what you need to know about Mr. Butters...

Butters is a Miniature Poodle and tips the scales at 11 pounds. He is house-trained and up to date on all his shots. He's neutered and microchipped. He is also crate-trained and knows basic commands.

Butters is actually quite friendly and seems harmless, but there are times when he is quite the opposite. That being the case, he needs to be in a home with no other dogs; cats are an unknown. Butters has a history of using his mouth inappropriately when he gets overstimulated or jealous. Ideally, he would be in a one or two person home where his people have a lot of time to spend with him. For this reason, he also needs a home with no resident or frequently visiting children. We know that’s a lot to ask, but we feel that is the best environment for him to be successful.

Butter's is playful and will follow his person everywhere! He has lived in one home with a good owner. Butters has not been mistreated. His owner has tried medication and training, but neither produced significant results.

Butters needs a confident dog handler. Fearful people are probably more likely to get bitten. He has no issue with the groomer or veterinarian because they are not afraid and he does better with people who take charge.
