Luna

This is Luna. Yes, she is a Pembroke Corgi, and very cute! Luna is sweet, loves all people, and isn’t a bit shy. Luna is a typical female corgi – confident, bossy, barky, with a strong herding instinct. Luna is 5-years-old, spayed and up-to-date on all shots. She weighs 30 pounds and is healthy except for an allergy which she takes medication for. Luna is very protective of her food, toys, and anything else she considers “hers”. She has nipped people who she perceived as challenging her “resources”. (It’s called “resource guarding”.) We’re looking for a special type of forever-home for Luna, so please read through our requirements carefully.

Luna needs to be an only dog, no other dogs or cats in the home. She needs an experienced dog owner who will consistently give her the structure and support she needs. It would be a good idea for Luna’s new owner to go through some training with Luna to help mitigate her resource guarding. She needs daily exercise. Corgis are “working dogs” who thrive when they’re mentally and physically stimulated! Luna loves to go on walks, but she’s reactive to small dogs. There should be no children in the home, or visiting regularly. Luna loves kids, but because she resorts to using her teeth at times, it wouldn’t be safe.

We want to find a home for Luna where she can be successful and loved. If you think your home can give Luna the things she needs, please complete an adoption application.
